2. Your deposit came from within Wealthsimple

Fix: Fund your account with a transfer from an external bank account, either Interac e-Transfer or a bank wire from an institution outside Wealthsimple. A transfer from your chequing or savings account elsewhere qualifies. A transfer from another Wealthsimple account does not.
3. You deposited less than $100
The bonus requires a minimum $100 CAD deposit from an external bank within 30 days of applying the code. $99 won't trigger it, even with the code correctly applied.
Fix: Top up your account to hit that $100 threshold. The 30-day window starts from when the referral relationship was established, not your first deposit.
4. You already used a referral code on this account
Only one referral code per account, ever. If a code was applied before, even if the bonus never got paid out, you can't apply a second one.
Fix: Contact Wealthsimple support through the app. If your $25 bonus hasn't already been paid and the referral relationship was set up more than 30 days ago on an unfunded account, support may be able to update the code. Once a bonus is paid, the relationship is locked.
5. Your bonus arrived but you didn't notice
